See What Your Cable Company is Offering

Cable Vs. The Dish

Cable Vs. Satellite

Cable can deliver your phone service, provide real On Demand TV and the fastest high-speed Internet service. Can satellite TV do that? No way! But, of course, that satellite dish will make your house look like the command center for an alien glee club.

There’s a reason national satellite TV companies like to fall all over themselves to woo you away with the promise of cheap rates.

Because of technology limitations, there’s not much satellite TV companies can do to keep up with new innovations from your local cable company – other than make lots of noise about price discounts.

Even then, it’s important to know that for just about every satellite TV discount out there, there’s enough fine print to make a lawyer squint. Many times, if you decide you’re not all that thrilled, about the only way to get out of a long-term service commitment is by paying a big financial penalty.

And not to be rude, but please: Does the neighborhood really need one more of those alien-encounter contraptions bolted to the side of another house?

The real story is that the majority of U.S. homes choose cable, not satellite, for their television service, and most of the homes in the U.S. with high-speed Internet service get it from cable. The fastest-growing residential phone service in the country comes from cable. Revolutionary new advances like On-Demand television and built-in DVRs come from cable. And some of the best bundled communications service deals in the country today are offered by your cable company.

There’s a clear choice in television and communications for today and the future. And it’s got cable’s name written all over it. As for that satellite dish? It’ll make a dandy bird feeder someday.
